PM Touts Value of Peace for Student Success

PHNOM PENH: "No success can be achieved without peace," said Prime Minister Hun Sen during a meeting with A-level students on Thursday morning, 2 February 2023.

He further recalled how the youth of Cambodia were not fully educate during the war in Cambodia from 1970 to 1975, and after the Khmer Rouge took over the country, the rights and freedoms of youth were completely destroyed.

He continued that achieving the peace of today, which allowed for the development of schools in all villages, communes and sangkats throughout Cambodia, was a difficult and long process for this small country.
